The victim’s grandmother (61) of Perambur, in her complaint, said her daughter died under suspicious circumstances in Hyderabad three months ago, leaving behind her son aged 11 and daughter aged 6. The man then returned to Chennai with the children, she said, alleging him of aggravated sexual and abusive attacks on the girl two months ago, causing grievous injuries on her private parts. Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested and remanded in judicial custody in Puzhal prison.
