A 10-member Lankan fishing association delegation will leave for New Delhi on Wednesday and the ministerial-level talks will be held on Saturday. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will meet her Lankan counterpart Mangala Samaraweera and Lankan Fisheries Minister Mahinda Amaraweera.

These talks are to be preceded by talks between the fisher associations of the two countries, media reports said. Lankan fishing organisations protested recently over an alleged give-in by their government wherein Indian fishermen doing illegal fishing would be allowed to do so to a given number of days.
