IIT graduates to donate cycles

The 2016 graduating batch at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras will take a pledge to donate their bicycles during the Willkommen 2016 — reception for graduating batch of IITM on April 13.

The bicycles pledged will be repaired with alumni funding and IIT for Village (IVil) student group at IIT-M will distribute the cycles to the needy in the society. IViL has a range of projects aimed at impacting rural areas positively.

The reception for the graduating batch will take place in the presence of Gopalakrishna Gandhi and IIT-M director Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi. The event will also include panel discussion on various topics.
