Honey dealer dies in accident

A 41-year-old man, who suffered injuries after his two-wheeler rammed a stationary lorry, died without responding to treatment on Thursday.

Mani (41) of Thuraiyur, a honey dealer, was in Red Hills to visit his kin and on Thursday he went to Uthukottai forest area to harvest honey. When he was returning home on a two-wheeler, he hit a stationary lorry near Athupakkam. In the impact, he fell off the bike and suffered grievous injuries on his head. Passersby rushed him to the hospital, where he succumbed to injuries within hours.
