The Guduvanchery police, while on vehicle check Wednesday, stopped the four, riding on two bikes, on GST Road as they were not wearing helmets and face masks.

After the youngsters gave evasive replies to their queries, police checked their two-wheeler and found eight country-made explosives and two knives underneath the seats. Police arrested all four and during the enquiry, found that all of them have several petty cases and attempt to murder cases against them.

Police said the four claimed they had kept explosives for their own safety as they have many enemies in the locality.
