CHENNAI: Customs officials seized foreign currencies worth Rs 11.5 lakh at the city airport on Tuesday.

The officials were checking the passengers about to board the flight to Singapore from Chennai on Tuesday night.

On suspicion, the officials intercepted a passenger from Chennai and during the personal search, they found he had hidden US dollars inside his underwear.

The officials seized the money and arrested him.
