Five held for ganja peddling in city

The city police arrested five persons for peddling ganja in two different places on Friday.

In the first incident, the Royapettah police secured two men in possession of 1.250 kg ganja, at BM Dargah Street, on Friday morning. The accused were identified as K Arun (27) and M Seenivasan (23) of Royapettah who were remanded in judicial custody. Similarly, the Flower Bazaar police arrested S Sasi (20), A Gopinath (20) and P Janakiraman (20) of Sembakkam and seized 300 grams of ganja for selling ganja on Narayanappa Road on Friday morning. All five were remanded in judicial custody.
