CHENNAI: P K Devaraj, elder brother of Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Sekar Babu was found dead at his residence in Chennai on Monday evening.
Police are investigating the reasons for his death. His family members found him unconscious at his room after which they secured him and moved him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
On information, police secured the body and moved it to Kilpauk medical college hospital for autopsy.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Devaraj was suffering from health ailments. Supporters of the Minister rushed to his residence to express condolences on hearing the news.
