DMK men advised against cut-out culture

The DMK high command has warned the party cadre not to indulge in a cutout culture, “which is gaining ground and assuming an ugly proportion in the state.”

Recalling his direction some time back, DMK chief said in a letter, “Our party men should avoid erecting cut-outs, flex boards and huge banners as this kind of boasting will only trouble the people in several ways, and as a result,   they will start hating us. You should keep in mind that “too much of anything is not good and is poison”. Pointing to what the rival party’s followers were doing to gain publicity and for propaganda,  Karunanidhi said, “AIADMK party men are erecting banners only for their general secretary, but our party men are overdoing by erecting their own posters, banners and cutouts.”
