Police said the arrested is identified as Vijayakumar (27), a native of Villupuram district, regularly visited his relative in a coastal village here. Earlier this week, he allegedly approached a 24-year-old-woman who was living with two children, during his visit. He tried to misbehave with a woman who dismissed his advances.

Despite her warnings, he continued to disturb the woman on Wednesday. Based on the woman’s complaint, the cop was arrested. The suspect joined the uniformed services initially through Youth Brigade of the Tamil Nadu police and is part of the lot which was recently inducted into the TSP.
