CMRL works: Traffic diversions in T Nagar from today

Police have announced traffic diversions for a week on a trial basis starting today (Nov 25). Vehicles coming from Thyagaraya Road, along Sivagnanam Street, intending to go towards Venkatanarayana Road are restricted.

CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) has announced traffic diversions in T Nagar to facilitate the ongoing CMRL works at Panagal Park, and the phase-ll work from Panagal Park towards Venkatanarayana Road. Vehicle entry into Venkatanarayana Road from Sivagnanam Street will be temporarily closed.

Police have announced traffic diversions for a week on a trial basis starting today (Nov 25). Vehicles coming from Thyagaraya Road, along Sivagnanam Street, intending to go towards Venkatanarayana Road are restricted.

Instead, they must proceed straight on Thyagaraya Road and Thanikachalam Road to join Venkatanarayana Road to reach their destination. However, vehicles will be allowed to ply to and from on Sivagnanam Street in two directions from Thyagaraya Road to JYM Kalyana Mandapam for the convenience of residents.
