City police to set up cyber lab, says CoP

Briefing the media after rewarding the officials who cracked the case, Commissioner Shankar Jiwal said a new cyber lab would be set up to help solve such cases.

“The new cyber lab will have all the gadgets and tools to analyze mobile phones and laptops without physically opening them. Steps are also being taken to create four more cybercrime stations in every zone – north, east, south, and west,” he said.

He added that actor Arya and his mother were removed from the FIR that was registered based on a German woman’s complaint.
