Chennai: Trio held for land grab using forged documents

The Central Crime Branch arrested three men in connection with two land-grabbing cases.

The accused were identified as K Saravanan (37) of Old Pallavaram, S Manohar (47) of Hasthinapuram and P Ramraj (33) of Kolathur. Police said the trio forged documents to transfer the ownership of two lands in Kovilambakkam and Ambattur without the knowledge of the actual landowners and enjoyed undue gain of up to Rs 50 lakh. They were remanded in judicial custody.
