Anti-gangster team nabs two history-sheeters in Chennai

CHENNAI: Two historysheeters involved in several heinous crimes were arrested by the anti-gangster team of the city police.

According to the police, the anti-gangster team personnel had received a tip-off about the movement of a rowdy in Anna Nagar police limits and alerted the local police.

A police team secured two persons at a playground and found them to own 200 grams of ganja. Further, one of them is involved in a murder case in Anna Nagar police limits, police said.

Subsequently, the police arrested the duo -- R Napoleon (30) of ICF colony, Ambattur and K Satish Kumar (25) of Ayananvaram.

Police said that Napoleon is an ‘A’ category rowdy with about 19 criminal cases against him in Anna Nagar, Ambattur, and ICF police stations.

The other accused, Satish Kumar, is a ‘B’ category rowdy with seven criminal cases against him. Both the accused were produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.
