The Virugambakkam police have filed an FIR against actor Vimal for allegedly assaulting another actor. The police said that the victim, Abhishek Varma from Bengaluru, also an actor, and Vimal were friends. On Saturday night, they met at a serviced apartment in Saligaramam. 

“While they were consuming alcohol, an argument erupted between them during which Vimal allegedly hit Abhishek,” said the police. After Abhishek lodged a complaint in this regard, the Virugambakkam police have registered a case and are investigating.
