Actor files complaint against daughter for not vacating house

Veteran actor Vijayakumar lodged a complaint against his daughter Vanitha, also an actor, for not vacating his house in Alapakkam after taking it on rent for film shooting.

The disputed property is located at Ashtalakshmi Nagar in Alapakkam near Maduravoyal. Police said that the actor, who rents the premises for film shootings, had recently given it on rent after a request from his daughter Vanitha.

However, she did not return the house to her father even after the stipulated period. When Vijayakumar sought reasons for this, Vanitha allegedly claimed that she would not return the house, as she has the right to live there. Following this, Vijayakumar lodged a complaint at the at Maduravoyal police station and sought the officers to evict her from the house.

When a police from the station visited the house to interrogate Vanitha on Thursday, the actor abused the journalists who were there to report the incident. 

Vanitha, daughter of actors Vijayakumar and Manjula, had acted in a few movies in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She made her film debut through a Tamil film, Chandralekha, a Vijay-starrer, in 1995.
