The page-long poem raised questions about the treatment provided to Jayalalithaa and sought justice against those allegedly responsible for her death.

The poem makes veiled reference to Sasikala and her extended family by referring to them as the ‘Manargudi mafia’. It ends with a call to bring those responsible to book.

The poem questioned the secrecy surrounding the hospitalisation and why senior party members were not allowed to visit the Chief Minister.

Responding to the poem, TTV Dhinakaran loyalist and former MLA Vetrivel said that this was an attempt to malign the reputation of Sasikala and her family. He said that the testimonies of doctors who treated Jayalalithaa have been submitted to the Justice A Arumughasamy enquiry commission.

The details on the testimonies show that the best possible treatment was provided to the ailing Jayalalithaa. He added that this was corroborated by the doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences who were consulted on the treatment.
