80 percent youth back PMK: Anbumani

Over 80 per cent of youngsters have expressed their support for PMK, said Anbumani Ramadoss, chief Ministerial candidate and youth wing leader of the PMK

Referring to a survey that was conducted by his party across the State, the PMK’s chief ministerial candidate said that there was a favourable trend for his party and youngsters in large numbers from various constituencies have expressed their support for the party. 

“Out of 2.25 crore youngsters, around 1.75 crore (i.e.82 per cent) are in favour of the PMK and it is a clear indication that the Gen-X aspires for a change of guard in the state,” he said, adding,” of the total electorate of 5.75 crore in the State, 60 per cent were neutral. They want a nonDMK and non-AIADMK government in the State, he said. 

Regarding alliances, he said that though there was no need for such an arrangement in this poll, the PMK will consider if any party approaches it.  The PMK’s CM candidate said that he was confident there will be a change in the government after the polls. 

Earlier, Anbumani in his address at the discussion session, attended by a crosssection of the public, criticised both the Dravidian majors. He also dwelt at length on several issues that needed immediate attention in Cuddalore district and also presented ideas to resolve them.
