21 more succumb to coronavirus, 15,038 active cases in Chennai

The death toll due to coronavirus has increased in Chennai since Thursday night.

The latest reports said that around 21 people have died in Chennai in the last 12 hours.

The highest toll was reported in Rajiv Gandhi Hospital with 8, 6 from Omanthoorar Govt Hospital, 4 from Stanley Hospital and 3 from Kilpauk Hospital.

Meanwhile, Chennai reported 15,038 active cases. Out of the 82,128 positive Covid-19 cases, 65,748 have recovered.

According to data released by the Greater Chennai Corporation, Kodambakkam zone had the most number of corona positive patients seeking treatment and also suffered from a low recovery rate of 76%.
