2 arrested for Anna university question paper leak

Two people, including an engineering student, were arrested by the CB-CID wing of the Tamil Nadu police Wednesday in connection with the recent leak of a mathematics question paper of Anna University.

Another wanted person, working in the office of the Controller of Examination (CoE) at the university and allegedly leaked the paper, was absconding and efforts were on to nab him, a CB-CID press release here said.

Based on a complaint by the Controller of Examination M Venkatesan, K Suresh Kumar and A Harikrishnan, a B.Tech student, were arrested, it said.

Kumar had allegedly obtained a copy of the maths question paper from his relative working in the CoE and given it to Harikrishanan, his childhood friend.

Harikrishnan made use of the question paper and also circulated it among his friends, the release said.

After information about leak of the Mathematics II paper of the exam held on December 3 emerged, the university had cancelled it and held a re-exam on December 12.
