CHENNAI: Thirteen teachers from government schools in Tiruvallur district will be conferred with the State government’s Best Teacher award on Teachers’ Day celebrated on September 5.

To commemorate the birthday of late former President S Radhakrishnan on Teachers’ Day, the State government will honour teachers who have displayed exemplary performance with the Dr Radhakrishnan Award. Speaking about it, the Principal Education Officer Raman said, “In Tiruvallur, 13 teachers from high schools, higher secondary schools, middle schools and primary schools have been chosen for the award. The awardees will be felicitated on behalf of the School Education Department at the Kalaivaanar auditorium on Tuesday.”
