13 sovereigns burgled from engineer’s house in Mangadu

Unidentified persons burgled 13 sovereigns from a house in Mangadu on Sunday. The victim, Ramesh, an electrical engineer at a private firm in Perungudi, had gone to Tiruvannamalai on Friday along with family members. When he returned on Sunday night, his house in Balaji Nagar had been broken open.

The burglars managed to open the cupboard and escaped with 13 sovereigns of jewels. Based on Ramesh’s complaint, the Mangadu police have registered a case and further investigation is on. 

In yet another burglary incident in Mangadu, unidentified persons escaped with 15 sovereigns from a house. 

The victim, Venkatesan, has lodged a complaint at the Mangadu police station. Similarly, 12 sovereigns and Rs 7,000 in cash were burgled from a house in Korukkupet. 

Based on a complaint by the victim, Saleem, a case has been registered by the Korukkupet police.
