This initiative is aimed at bringing the chambers under one banner, for a common cause for the industry and overall development of the state. “We will meet a couple of times to discuss with our members and frame the guidelines for the new organisation,” president of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, and convener of the meeting Vanitha Mohan said.  While FICCI is an all India body not all the chambers in the state are part of it.

On the other hand, the TN-based body will make representations with the State and the Centre for the holistic development of the State and for knowledge sharing.
