Coimbatore
The brand aims to engage with the community to create a strong presence in the local furniture industry. Looking ahead, Urban Ladder’s priority lies in opening franchise stores with partners.
Ashish Goel, CEO and co-founder, Urban Ladder, says, “Our presence in Coimbatore will provide the opportunity to reach out to a newer audience and leverage our existing customer base. Coimbatore’s general preference for solid wood furniture and the traditional aesthetic is reflected in many of our offerings, like the India Inspired range. We aim to cater to the needs of the primarily bungalow homes as well as the developing modern apartments in the city.” The company aims to build relationships with entrepreneurs in the ecosystem. Through this model, the franchise stores can help customers partake in the ‘touch-and-feel’ experience. It intends to replicate this model across several key cities throughout India this year. Within the next quarter, it aims to achieve profitability along with targeting an IPO in the next two years.
Urban Ladder Home Decor Solutions was co-founded by Ashish Goel (CEO) and Rajiv Srivatsa (CPTO) in July 2012. In 7 years, it has established a strong online presence, delivering to 73 cities across India.
