Hyundai Motor reorganises work stations to maintain social distancing

India's second largest car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has reorganised the work stations at its plant near here to maintain necessary social distancing, said a senior official.

"We have a detailed standard operating procedure (SOP) that will be followed. We have reorganised the work stations at our plants to maintain social distancing wherever it is needed," S. Ganesh Mani, Director (production), Hyundai Motor India, told IANS.

According to him, the revised SOP will be followed in the times to come.

The car maker plans to restart its preparatory operations at the Irrugattukkotai plant on May 6, adhering to the guidelines laid out by the government authorities.

Officials said that social distancing will be maintained in the company buses carrying the employees.
