Thief sees CCTV camera, returns wallet: Video
A video posted by the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Police, showing a man stealing another’s wallet while standing in a queue and later returning it, has created a buzz on the social media. “The video is funny, but the consequences in reality will be quite serious! #EyeOpenersForYou,” wrote the Mumbai Police along with the video. The 22-second clip showed a man stealing another person’s wallet while both of them were standing in a queue. Subsequently, he noticed a security camera pointing towards him and thereafter, returned the wallet to its owner.
Surat shop sells ‘gold' sweets for Rs 9,000 per kg
A shop in Surat, named ‘24 Carats Mithai Magic’, is selling sweets at Rs 9,000 per kg. According to media reports, the sweets are wrapped with a special covering of 24-carat pure gold leaf. Divya Shah, a customer who visited the shop, said she was amazed at the sight of the sweets and that she was told they were good for health. Gold leaves are prepared by hammering the metal into sheets by the process of goldbeating, and they are used for a variety of purposes, including culinary uses.
Meet Emma, the ‘Usain Bolt’ of Berlin’s pugs
A pug named Emma has bagged the title of being the fastest among her breed at an annual 50-metre racing event held in Berlin, which witnessed a participation of around 60 dogs. Dubbed as ‘Usain Bolt’ by the organisers, the four-year-old pug completed the race in just six seconds, winning the title for the third consecutive time. Interestingly, other pugs took around 40 seconds to reach the finish line.
