Arts and culture connoisseurs got together for the curtain raiser of Suka Marga, a dance production based on parrots, conceptualised and choreographed by eminent Bharatantyam performer Dr Lakshmi Ramaswamy.

The coffee and conversation on parrots with Ramaswamy, was moderated by Madhuvanti Arun, and included Dr Rajkumar Bharathi who shared how he scored music for the piece. 

Historian Chithra Madhavan also addressed the enthusiastic audience with inputs on how parrots were intrinsically linked to Indian ethos and lifestyle. Also present at the event were popular dancers Vidya Anand, Archana Kanthan and Priya Dandapani among others.
