Journalist’s racist question to Matin goes viral

Matin Rey Tangu, the cheeky little five-year-old from Kabir Khan’s Salman Khan starrer Tubelight, had the audience in splits with his cute antics at the promotional event of the film, held recently.

A video of a journalist asking the kid a racist question at the event is now going viral on social media. The video shows a female journalist ask Matin, “Aap pehli baar India aye ho? (Is this your first time in India?)” The confused kid, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh, responds, “Kya?” Realising her mistake, the journalist is heard rephrasing “Aap pehli baar Mumbai aye ho? (Is this your first time in Mumbai?)

”However, Salman, who heard the question the first time, deliberately repeats it. Matin responds innocently, “India? Hum India per hi baithta hai, toh India par aayega hi kaise? (I live in India. So, how will I ‘come’ to India?)”
