Aditi’s fuss-free beauty regimen

While the gorgeous Aditi Rao Hydari thanks her genes for that clear, translucent skin and those big brown eyes, there’s more to it than just that.

The actress drinks plenty of water. She finds water therapeutic, whether it is to drink or bathe in. On days she feels blue, she takes a quick shower to feel better. It also means always removing make-up with a water-based cleanser, using a gentle soap-free face wash, and applying virgin coconut oil in winter to moisturise the skin. Considering her hair goes through so much – it is ironed and tonged and blow-dried so often – she does a hair spa once a month or so, deep condition it, and she swears by Moroccan oil.

Aditi’s kitchen beauty DIYs

Here are two face packs that work for Aditi:

WHEN HER SKIN FEELS OILY: Mix 1/4 tsp. orange peel (dried and powdered), or fresh grated turmeric with 1 tsp besan (kadalai maavu) and enough home-made yogurt to make it into a paste.

WHEN HER SKIN FEELS DRY: Mix 2 tsp. ground oats with 1/2 tsp. honey and enough milk to make it into a paste.
