CHENNAI: A video that has gone viral on social media shows a little girl hugging an ostrich while she was feeding it from her car.

In the video clip the girl can be seen feeding the ostrich, following which she grabs the neck of one of them and tries to hug it. While the ostrich tries to refrain from the same as it was just interested in the food.

The video was shared by Now This, where the girl can be seen seated in a vehicle as she went to the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo with her family.

The video amassed over 50,000 views along with hundreds of reactions from social media users.

One of the user commented “The kid is lucky to have survived and it’s almost a miracle, unharmed.”

“In reality, the Ostrich was the victim here. It was lured with snacks just to get smothered by a hugger, " another user wrote.

“That's so irresponsible. And they're laughing,” a user wrote.

Other users urged wildlife visitors with children to teach the little ones not to grab onto the animals and respect their space.
