The video takes a dig at our current value systems and decries the materialism and rampant corruption that pervades the country today. The clip has Bapu grooving to an anti-establishment rap, the lyrics of which say, ‘Satyagraha se kuch na mila, jhooth ka jhanda lahraya” (Satyagraha got me nothing, so I was forced to raise the flag of lies). It also has lines like, “Kehte hain majboori ka naam hota hai Mahatma Gandhi” (They say resignation is Gandhi’s middle name).

While most viewers seemed to love the video with applause pouring in from various quarters, a few like Gandhiji’s grandson, Tushar Gandhi, found it distasteful. While we thought the artist nailed the sad state of affairs in the country, watch the video and judge for yourself!
