Talking to reporters in Hyderabad while promoting Jaanu, the remake of 96, she said, “I will only act for the next two to three years. I am married and I need to think about my family. Besides, we all know that a heroine’s career is quite short. That’s why I may act for two or three years more.”

Talking about the film Samantha also lauded Trisha’s performance in the Tamil version. “I never met her. But the day I saw the film, I was in awe of her performance. Everyone spoke about Vijay Sethupathi as the high point of the film, but for me, Trisha was the winner with her standout performance.

Post Jaanu, Samatha is expected to play the lead in a Tamil film that will be directed by Ashwin Saravanan of Game Over fame. The actress is also in talks with Vignesh Shivn for Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
