Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan and director Gautham Menon have revealed that the sequel to their 2006 blockbuster Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu, is on cards. Speaking at the audio launch of STR’s Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, Kamal Haasan said, “I have given my nod to Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu’s sequel to Gautham a couple of years ago. He said that he would meet me with a script. I am waiting to read it.”

Gautham Menon who was seated in the front row, immediately jumped on to the stage and replied, “Jeyamohan sir is penning the script and I will meet you with it soon sir.”

The director also said that a sequel to Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is also being planned. “”But then, that depends on how well the people accept it (the first part) and how it reaches the audience,” he added.
