Shivrajkumar to star in the Kannada remake of Viswasam

Ajith’s Viswasam that released for Pongal went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.

The film was also dubbed into Kannada titled Jaga Malla and released last month and did not enjoy a successful run at the box-office.

However, the story has impressed Kannada Superstar Shivrajkumar who is in talks to reprise Ajith’s role from the Tamil version. The actor also recently confirmed that he has approached the producers Sathya Jyothi Films for the remake rights. Directed by Siva, Viswasam starred Ajith and Nayanthara as the lead pair. The film went on to perform extremely well at the box-office and grossed over Rs 150 crore. Ajith currently awaits the release of Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of Pink that will hit the screens on August 10.
