“The title expands to En Paatan Sotthu. This has nothing to do with politics,” National award winning director Sargunam told DT Next. The story is set against the backdrop of Thanjavur. “It will be a laugh riot that takes place in a town in Tanjore. We have roped in a new face called Anikha, who plays the heroine. The film also stars Thambi Ramaiah, Vela Ramamoorthy and Meera Krishnan in important roles,” the director added. Produced my S Azhagarsamy of Makkal Arasan pictures, the film has it music by debutant music director V2. Raja Mohammed of Paruthiveeran fame will handle the cuts while Masani will handle the cinematography. “We have completed the film shoot and are awaiting the censor. The movie will release for Pongal on an OTT platform that belongs to the producer,” Sargunam concluded.
