Regina roped in for Irumbu Thirai 2

Actress Regina Cassandra, who was last seen in a bilingual flick, Seven, has signed her next. We hear from reliable sources that the Maanagaram girl will be playing a pivotal role in Vishal’s upcoming film, which will be directed by PS Mithran.

When contacted the actress, she replied with an ‘Yes’. “Though she plays Vishal’s love interest in the film, her character adds a lot of value to the story,” a source says. Rumours are also that the makers considered to rope in Shraddha Srinath for another role. However, she couldn’t be part of it due to date issues. The film is the sequel to 2018 hit techno thriller, Irumbu Thirai, which went on to make the cash registers ring at the box office. It had Arjun and Samantha in pivotal roles.
