PS-1 fever grips: Vikram, Trisha change Twitter names

Ahead of the release, the film crew has upped its promotions. Vikram as Aditha Karigalan and Trisha as Kundavai have changed their names on their Twitter profiles

CHENNAI: Actors Vikram and Trisha have changed the character names of the film on Twitter as a part of Ponniyin Selvan-1 promotions. Ahead of the release, the film crew is all set to go on a promotional tour across India starting this week. Vikram as Aditha Karikalan and Trisha as Kundavai have changed their names on their Twitter profiles. Other actors are expected to follow the suit.

Mani Ratnam has directed Kalki Krishnamoorthy’s novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ into a movie. It stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayaram, Trisha and others. AR Rahman has composed the film's music and Ravi Varman has done the cinematography. The film, which is produced by Lyca, will release in IMAX format on September 30.

The trailer was released during a grand audio launch event and has been well received by the audience.

As a latest announcement from the film, lyrical video of the song Ratchasa Mamane was released on Tuesday. Two other songs namely Ponni Nadhi and Chozha Chozha were released earlier.
