‘Kayal’ serial fame Subashini found dead in Porur apartment

According to the police, Subashini got married in 2024 to Bibin (37), an IT Professional, and was living in Bengaluru. She had come to Chennai for work and was staying in a rented apartment for the last few days.

CHENNAI: A 36-year-old television artiste was found dead at her apartment near Porur on Monday. The deceased was identified as B Subashini. A native of Sri Lanka, she has over a decade of experience acting in television serials.

According to the police, Subashini got married in 2024 to Bibin (37), an IT Professional, and was living in Bengaluru. She had come to Chennai for work and was staying in a rented apartment for the last few days.


On Sunday night, Subashini and her husband had an argument over a video call. Later, as her husband was unable to reach her over the phone, he alerted the apartment security, who forced open the door and found her unconscious.


The police were alerted immediately, and the television actor was moved to a hospital where she was declared brought dead. The police then sent the body to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Further investigations are under way.
