The director then turned producer after bankrolling the horror-comedy, Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae starring Jiiva, under the banner A for Apple Production. The filmmaker has also produced the upcoming supernatural thriller, Andhaghaaram.
Now, the latest buzz is that Atlee will finance another project which will be helmed by debutant Suryakumar. It is said that the makers have approached Jayam Ravi to star as the lead hero. An official statement regarding the cast and crew is expected to be announced soon.
It is worth mentioning that Atlee has also set sights on Bollywood. According to reports, Atlee has been involved in talks with iconic star Shah Rukh Khan for a movie and that the team is busy with pre-production work. Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi is awaiting the release of his next flick, Bhoomi and is working on Ponniyin Selvan with Mani Ratnam.
