CHENNAI: Actor Tovino Thomas has clarified that he will not be part of director Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film featuring Jr NTR, according to a Daily Thanthi report, putting an end to speculation over his involvement.

Reports in recent days had suggested that Tovino would play the role of Jr NTR’s brother in the film, tentatively titled Dragon. The rumours had generated interest among fans, given Prashanth Neel’s previous work in the KGF franchise.

However, speaking at a promotional event in Hyderabad, Tovino dismissed the reports and said he is not part of the project.

Explaining his decision, the actor said the working styles of the Malayalam and Telugu film industries differ significantly. He noted that Malayalam films are usually completed within a shorter period, while big-budget Telugu projects often take a year or more.

He added that committing to a single large-scale project would affect his schedule. “If I allocate my dates for one Telugu film, I will miss doing four Malayalam films,” he said.

With this clarification, it is now confirmed that Tovino will not be acting in the film, bringing an end to the speculation surrounding his role.
