CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth, who was admitted to hospital on Monday will be discharged on Friday, according to a Thanthi TV report.
The 73-year-old actor underwent a non-surgical procedure to place a stent in the heart to treat a swelling in the aorta.
While the actor was expected to return home today, the hospital management has informed that he will be discharged on Friday.
He is stable after senior interventional cardiologist Dr Sai Satish performed the endovascular repair procedure, a minimally invasive procedure, to repair the enlargement of a blood vessel near his abdomen on Tuesday morning, said a medical bulletin from the Apollo Hospitals.
