Customs seizes 131 grams psychotropic substances from foreign parcels

The customs officials, on suspicion, checked the parcel from the Netherlands, which was addressed to a person at Andhra Pradesh. The packet had 10 green tablets, suspected to be MDMA, weighing about 5 grams, 7 grams of meth crystals and 1 gram of amphetamine.

The Customs seized 271 MDMA tablets, other psychotropic substances and ganja in a parcel at Foreign Post Office on Tuesday. The customs officials, on suspicion, checked the parcel from the Netherlands, which was addressed to a person at Andhra Pradesh. The packet had 10 green tablets, suspected to be MDMA, weighing about 5 grams, 7 grams of meth crystals and 1 gram of amphetamine. The narcotics were seized. In a second case, a postal parcel from the US, addressed to a person in Andhra Pradesh, was opened on suspicion and 132 grams of ganja was found. 

In the third case, another parcel from Spain was examined and 10 grams of ganja was seized. In the final case, the parcel was from the Netherlands and was declared as model train parts. On examination, 261 light brown colour tablets suspected to be MDMA, weighing 118 grams were found. Psychotropic substances weighing 131 grams in total and 142 grams of ganja was seized under the provisions of NDPS Act on Tuesday.
