Revenge assault on milk vendor in Ayanavaram

Ayanavaram police have launched a hunt for a man who attacked a milk vendor at the latter’s shop in Ayanavaram on Wednesday night.

The victim M Jayakumar (41), an Aavin dealer, was sitting in front of his shop on Shanmugam street when auto driver S Sasikumar attacked Jayakumar with a knife and bicycle chain under the influence of alcohol.

In his complaint, Jayakumar, a BJP functionary, said he had confronted Sasikumar when the latter tore a Modi poster in the locality last year.
