Stunt master Judo Rathinam passes away at 92

The 92-year-old ace stunt master had worked in several blockbusters and was awarded Kalaimamani award by the State government in 2019

CHENNAI: Popular Tamil film stunt master Judo Rathinam, who had worked in more than 1,500 films covering south Indian languages passed away in Gudiyattam, on Thursday. The 92-year-old ace stunt master had worked in several blockbusters and was awarded Kalaimamani award by the State government in 2019. The artist had worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films. Rathinam was suffering from geriatric complications.

Several stunt artists and film personalities expressed grief over his demise. Rathinam had also worked in the black and white films dating back to early 1960’s. Rathinam had choreographed stunts for several films of actor Rajnikanth.
