CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai on Wednesday blamed the ruling DMK for the attack on Raj Bhavan and said that the incident reflected the true law and order situation in the state.

In a message posted on micro blogging site X, Annamalai said that the DMK government was diverting people's attention to insignificant matters, while the criminals have taken the streets. Claiming that the same person, who attacked the BJP headquarters here in February 2022, has been held responsible for today's attack on Raj Bhavan, Annamalai said the continuous attack only leaves one to think that the DMK government is sponsoring these attacks.

Chief Minister M K Stalin will now be preparing for the next diversion, he added.

In a video posted on social media, Union Minister L Murugan from Tamil Nadu said that the law and order situation in the state was such that even the governor was unsafe in Tamil Nadu.

"When the governor is unsafe, safety of lay people has become questionable. The DMK led state government in Tamil Nadu has failed miserably, " Murugan said, urging the state government to find out who all were behind the attack on Raj Bhavan.
