Polish highway turns into lake of solid chocolate

Though it cannot boast the magnificence of Charlie’s chocolate factory, a Polish highway almost turned into one after a truck hauling hot liquid chocolate crashed early on Wednesday morning, spilling its delicious contents across all six lanes of the A2 motorway. The driver of the truck has a broken arm and is undergoing treatment. The highway was relatively empty and free of traffic, so no other injuries were reported. After the crash, hot gooey liquid chocolate  spilled all across the road, covering all lanes in both directions. The chocolate cooled as it spread, solidifying into an even bigger mess on the highway. This however presents a hazard to drivers, who, have to be extremely careful while navigating through the area. Rescue officials said the chocolate would require large amounts of hot water to clear it away.

Memes on ‘my culture is not your prom dress’

By now, the whole world knows of the Chinese prom dress that sparked a major controversy in the US. The online war went out of proportion after a US teenager, Keziah Daum, wore a traditional Chinese cheongsam to her high school prom and posted pics online. She was then accused of cultural appropriation by many on Twitter. “My culture is NOT your . . .. prom dress,” a man named Jeremy Lam tweeted days later, sharing the photos she posted. After days of debate, the tweet has now become a viral meme on social media, with many tweeting their own versions of it.

The ‘deodorant challenge’ not so cool after all

A 15-year-old girl in England was left with horrific burns after deodorant was sprayed on her in the latest school craze.  Her mother said the teen may need a skin graft after taking part in “The Deodorant Challenge” with her classmates. The game involves spraying deodorant onto a person’s bare skin for as long as possible, and has left the girl with an injury so bad that it is yet to heal three weeks on. The mother posted photos of the burns on Facebook to warn other parents of the “horrendous” craze. It has been shared more than 2,500 times since. “For any parents who have children, please, please sit them down and show them these pictures,” Prescott posted. “These are the damaging results of something known as ‘The Deodorant Challenge’ which is currently doing the rounds.”
