Khan and Bajwa met after two months. The long gap between the two meetings raised many eyebrows.
Karachi
Amid speculation that Pakistan's military and the Imran Khan government are at loggerheads, the Pakistan Army has said that there are no differences between the civil and military leadership.
"There are no differences between the military and the government. Prime Minister and the Army chief have regular meetings," said Major General Asif Ghafoor, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) chief.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's meeting with Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa last Friday led to much speculation.
Khan and Bajwa met after two months. The long gap between the two meetings raised many eyebrows.
Moreover, Khan also suspended his official engagements for two days.
While talking to a private news channel, Ghafoor said that the government and the military are "on the same page".
He said that meetings between the Prime Minister and the Army chief are necessary for the country's progress.
