Imran Khan's party pledge to work for peace and development
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, led by cricket icon Imran Khan, on Wednesday pledged to work for peace, prosperity and development in the region.

Referring to congratulatory messages and calls from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani among others, Chief Spokesman for Imran's party Naeem ul Haque said in a tweet that the new government in Pakistan will work for 'peace,' reflecting Imran Khan's vision to fight poverty.
"During the last three days IK has received congratulatory calls from PM Modi, President Ashraf Ghani and President Erdogan (of Turkey) amongst others. Under PTI government the whole region can look forward to an era of peace , prosperity and development reflecting IKs vision to fight poverty," Mr Haque tweeted.
The party has already started government formation process.
Mr Modi called Mr Khan on Monday evening and shared with him, the 'vision' of peace for the entire neighbourhood.
