Going Viral: New Captain America clip debates ‘Avengers impact’

As seen in last year’s Ant-Man viral videos, Everhart is now the host for WHIH News, a news organisation within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

For the newly released Civil War tie-in video, Bibb is joined by standup comic Al Madrigal, who is portraying a very pro-superhero analyst named Will Adams. Bibb begins the newscast with the provocative question, “Who do they answer to in the wake of their actions?” referring to the Avengers and the collateral damage they cause upon intervening. 

The main conflict in the upcoming Civil War movie revolves around the U.S. government’s regulation of superheroes, which produces a major fissure in the Avengers team. Steve Rogers leads the Avengers faction that condemns government interference, while Tony Stark helms the side that supports accountability for their actions.

Adams advocates Rogers’ stance, asserting that there is no reason for the government to intervene in these matters because the Avengers save so many civilian lives. Bibb, on the other hand, gravitates toward Stark’s push for accountability as she assesses the damage these superheroes leave behind when they’re done saving lives. 

The two go back and forth, expressing their opinions on whether the good the Avengers do outweigh the damage they cause. Watch the two debate the issue, and decide where you stand before Captain America: Civil War hits theatres on May 6.
