Not just her powerhouse performance, but even her looks and style leave a long-lasting impression on everyone. The National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut is phenomenal in every way — she is one of the few actors who has broken most stereotypes and believes in being off the beaten path.
The actress takes very good care of her body with regular workouts and a balanced diet. Kangana is very strict during her workout sessions and doesn’t like to skip any vigorous workouts. “I hit the gym five times a week for one to two hours and practice various kinds of workouts under my fitness trainer Leena Mogre. I do interval training, strength training, yoga, cardio workouts, etc. For building muscles and strengthening my calves, I perform German set, pull-ups, push-ups, fartlek running, squats and lower back exercises,” says the actress.
According to her, exercises help her become a better version of herself, while also contributing immensely to her mental strength. The Queen actress also believes in the power of yoga and dedicates 45 minutes to one hour a day to do yoga. “Apart from shaping up my body, yoga relaxes my body too. I also do meditation to calm my mind,” she explains.
The actress eats wholesome and nutritious foods. She includes a lot of foods which contain good carbohydrates. Her diet consists of 50 per cent carbohydrates, 25 per cent proteins and 25 per cent of healthy fats, for giving her a healthy and fit body. Her diet regime mainly consists of oatmeal, porridge, protein shake, eggs, vegetables, dal, tofu, etc.
Kangana Ranaut, who was a hardcore non-vegetarian, only recently turned a vegetarian. To ensure that her body is hydrated throughout the day, she makes sure to drink at least 10-12 glasses of water.
“I prefer to eat small meals every two hours during the day and never skip meals,” says the actress.
For her, unwholesome foods such as processed foods, junk foods, oily foods and sugary foods are a big no. However, she does indulge in pizza or any other food item occasionally to avoid cravings.
